Hand painted using acrylic paints, Lynne has created this wonderful artwork of the heritage sailing trawler Pilgrim of Brixham BM45, just about to sail past the breakwater and lighthouse. The trawler was built in 1895 at Upham's Yard in Brixham, Devon, Pilgrim is now fully restored and a member of the UK National Historic Fleet.
When Lynne was having work done on her fisherman's cottage in Brixham, the original slate roof tiles were saved and are now being given a new lease of life through art.
Each slate is made from Cornish Delabole slate with the original nail holes showing giving it a unique and authentic charm.
Each slate can be hung by attaching your own cord/string through the original holes or by placing it on a display stand.
This slate measures approx 25x45cms.
