Man and Boy is a statue situated at King's Quay and overlooks Brixham harbour. It is the result of a long fundraising effort; the residents of the town raised £76,000 for its construction. The monument was created in clay by the local sculptor Elisabeth Hadley and cast in bronze in Shropshire. The statue commemorates Brixham's fishing heritage and lives lost at sea.
Lynne has created this piece of art depicting the sculpture on an original Delabole slate tile.
When Lynne was having work done on her fisherman’s cottage in Brixham, the original 120 year old slate roof tiles were saved and are now being given a new lease of life through art.
This tile measures 23x36cms and can be hung by attaching your own cord/string/wall hook through the original holes or by placing it on a display stand.
