Hand painted using acrylic paints, Lynne has created this original piece of art depicting one of the Heritage fleet sailing into Brixham harbour. When Lynne was having work done on her fisherman’s cottage in Brixham, the original 120 year old slate roof tiles were saved and are now being given a new lease of life through art.
'Heritage Sail' captures both the local heritage and maritime spirit, transforming reclaimed material into a unique piece that embodies the community’s rich coastal identity. It is a testament to sustainable artistry and the enduring connection between Brixham’s past and present.
Each slate is made from Cornish Delabole slate with the original nail holes showing giving it a unique and authentic charm.
The slate can be hung by attaching your own cord/string/wall hook through the original holes or by placing it on a display stand.
This slate measures approx 25x40cms.
