Lynne has been painting "Brixham Life" for the last 30years after living abroad for two decades. "It was wonderful to return home and fall in love with this coast line and life all over again".

 

Self taught, Lynne has always had a passion for painting, and is sensitive to shape and colour; a gift, within which, she has developed her own

immediately recognisable style. 

Lynne prefers to paint 'en plein air'

with her chosen view ahead, the sun on her back, a hat on her head

and her sisters and a picnic at her side,

hoping her sheer pleasure is reflected in her paintings for all to enjoy.  

 

For 12 years, Lynne displayed and sold her work at the weekly

Brixham Art and Craft Market on the harbourside. 

In 2015 she opened a gallery to display her work along with those of

her sister's paintings and the beautiful pebble work

by their friend Vivienne.  Sdots herself around the harbour

to paint 'en plein air' when inspired by a scene, be it atmospheric, colourful, exciting or humorous. "Brixham never fails to make me smile for all the right reasons and I can't wait to get them down on paper".
